Post-operative orthopedic care and severe adductor spasticity demand robust mechanical separation of the lower limbs to protect joint alignment and prevent bilateral friction lesions.

The PosiPerle Abduction Wedge Cushion is a highly effective abduction wedge engineered to maintain neutral hip positioning and stabilise the lower extremities.

When integrated into a 24-hour postural management plan, it functions perfectly as a posey abduction wedge knee separator, keeping the knees comfortably apart to eliminate skin-on-skin friction and sweat accumulation in the groin and inner thighs.

The filling of our PosiPerle positioners is composed of high quality round polystyrene micro particles that adapt to all morphologies, preventing the high interface pressures and deep tissue shear injuries common with rigid foam wedges.

While optimised for lower-limb separation, this wedge cushion can be used for many different positions for pressure care and posture support, making it remarkably versatile. It can be utilised within specialised seating systems for lateral support for trunk support and mid-line alignment, or adapted dynamically for the head, chest, arms, legs, and knees.

Carers find these cushions exceptionally light and easy to use when executing complex turning schedules.

To ensure compliance with medical hygiene standards, the positioner features 100% welded seams and the PneumaPure® filtration system.

This mechanical barrier blocks out pathogens and allergens while remaining fully breathable, giving clinicians confidence that they are maintaining a clean, pressure-relieved microclimate that supports patient healing.
