Environmental & Supply Chain Sustainability Policy
This policy applies to all Pressure Care Management Ltd colleagues and activities across the business, including our direct operations, the goods and services we procure and the products and services we provide to our customers.
Purpose
Pressure Care Management Ltd is committed to upholding and encouraging high standards of ethical conduct, environmental sustainability, social responsibility and good governance through both our own operations and the organisations we work with in our supply chain. This Policy informs our approach to our own operations as well as procurement and supplier performance.
Policy
Pressure Care Management Ltd recognises that our activities impact the environment in several ways. This includes, but is not limited to:
- The energy we use in our operations
- The fuel we use in company vehicles
- The waste we generate both in our direct operations and through our supply chain
- The travel of our employees in the delivery of our services and via commuting to and from the workplace
- The goods and services we procure from suppliers and provide to customers, including the transport and distribution of products both upstream and downstream.
To mitigate our environmental impacts, we have set a long-term carbon reduction target to achieve net zero by 2045 and a short-term target to halve Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions by 2030 against a 2023-24 baseline. Progress against these targets is published annually in our Carbon Reduction Plan.
Pressure Care Management Ltd also commits to:
- Complying with all relevant legislation and standards, including the expectations of our key customers and stakeholders
- Working with suppliers where possible to reduce our collective environmental impact, for example through data collection, collaboration and educational support
- Reviewing our environmental performance annually and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
In particular, we will:
- Measure and track our Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions annually
- Reduce energy usage in our office and warehouse through energy efficiency measures
- Reduce the fuel consumption of company vehicles and transition to an electric vehicle fleet
- Segregate our waste on-site to maximise recycling and recovery
- Encourage and incentivise more sustainable forms of employee travel and commuting
- Communicate our performance both internally with colleagues and publicly with stakeholders through our Carbon Reduction Plan and other policies, and share best practice with others.
Responsible Procurement
In addition to the above measures, we endeavour to ensure high standards in our supply chain through:
- Considering environmental and social impact when procuring goods and services, including taking into account the full lifecycle of products
- Continually exploring options to work with suppliers to reduce environmental impacts, for example through waste and packaging reduction, lower impact transport methods and product design
- Mapping our supply chain to identify hotspots of environmental impact and modern slavery risk, and exploring options for mitigation
- Never accepting bribery and corruption through gratuity, advantage or personal favour, and expecting the same commitment by suppliers
- Expecting all suppliers to comply with all relevant legislation and standards.
Responsibility and Accountability
This policy, and the actions and commitments arising from it, are the direct responsibility of the Board and senior management, and indirectly, all directors, employees and contractors working for Pressure Care Management Ltd. It will be reviewed annually by senior leadership and approved at director level.
Signed on behalf of the Board:
